首里城が火災でほぼ全焼！【動画有り】焼け落ちる世界遺産、火災の原因は!?

首里城で火災が発生！正殿と北殿が全焼！

2019年10月13日、午前2時47分頃、那覇市にある首里城にて火災が発生しました。
消防の方によると、首里城の正殿を中心に上げ敷く炎が燃え広がり、消防車20台以上が
消火活動を行う大事態となりました。

正殿と北殿が全焼し、南殿や他の建物にも火災の被害が広がった模様です。
合わせて4200平方メートルが焼ける大惨事です。

首里城では琉球王国時代の儀式を再現する首里城祭の開催中に起こった悲劇であります。
火事の当日も未明までイベントは開催されていたとのこと。

首里城火災の原因は？

首里城の火災の原因については、火災発生当初、
・首里城内で漏電が発生
・公園での焚き火
・放火魔による仕業
など、噂が現地では広まっていますが、未だ詳細な原因は不明です。

警察の調べによると漏電の可能性が高いようですが、すでに全焼しているため
首里城火災の原因の特定は困難だと思われます。

首里城は私も初めて沖縄に来たときから既に何回か足を運んでいる場所ですが、
突然なくなってしまう現状を受け入れられません。

世界遺産にも登録されている首里城ですから、沖縄県としてもダメージが大きい被害ですね。

首里城はすでに一度消滅している？

沖縄の観光名所でもある首里城は、琉球王国時代のおよそ500年前に建てられ、昭和8年に国宝に指定された場所ですが、
太平洋戦争中の沖縄戦で一度は消失してしまいました。

しかし、その後の平成4年に正殿が復元され、
平成12年には九州沖縄サミットで各国首脳陣の夕食会の会場に指定されるなど、
歴史的価値の高く、その存在感を常に保っていました。

また、首里城跡は独立王国として琉球が本土とは異なる独特な文化を発展させたことを示す歴史的な遺産として
世界遺産にも登録がされています。（日本で11番目）

首里城は建物だけではなく、内部の道具類なども復元されていたようです。

今回全焼した正殿の一階には、政治や儀式の際に国王が使う、御差床と呼ばれる復元された玉座、
両脇の柱には、金の龍と五色の雲が描かれた板など、琉球王国時代を蘇らせるものが数々あったと思いますが、
一夜にしてすべて焼け落ちるとは、現実を中々受け止められるものではありません。

沖縄戦で一度失われ、せっかく復活した琉球の歴史の象徴的な存在の首里城が、こんな形でまた無くなってしまうなんて
本当にショックであります。
