沖縄県民は酒を呑んだ後はステーキで締める
沖縄県民の風習として酒を呑んだ後はステーキで締めるといった文化がある。
私も長いこと沖縄に住んでいるが、夜遅くまで呑んだ帰りにステーキを食べようとする友人が確かに居る。
本土の人間だと呑んだ後はラーメンというのが定番だが、沖縄の場合は、
ラーメン、沖縄そば、そしてステーキといった形で3つの選択肢があるのです。
決して皆が皆、ステーキで締める訳ではありません。
私の周りの若者はラーメンで締める傾向にあるような気もします。
那覇松山にあるサウザンステーキ
先日、沖縄の友人と呑んだ帰りにステーキが食べたくなり、那覇の松山にある
サウザンステーキというステーキ屋さんに行ってきましたので紹介します。
なんと、今回いったサウザンステーキは24時間営業なのです！
呑んだ帰りどころか、朝食としてもステーキをいただけるお店なのです。
場所は、那覇商業高校近くで、住所的には松山になります。
サウザンステーキの外観はこんな感じです。
お世辞としても綺麗とは言えませんが、店内はしっかし整理整頓されています。
ちなみに店内はオール喫煙OKです。
入り口で食券を買います。
意外にメニューが豊富です。
サーロインステーキ、チキンステーキ。タコライス、牛すじカレーまで揃っています。
私は一番人気のメニューのサウザンステーキを食べることにしました。
200gで1000円というお財布に優しい価格設定です。
その他のメニューも基本的に良心的な価格です。
ちなみのライス大盛りは無料です。
ありがたいですね。
水はセルフサービスです。
食券を渡すと早々にサラダとスープを持ってきてくれます。
作り置きなのか、直ぐに出てきます。
今回、ステーキの焼き加減はミディアムでお願いしました。
肉の焼き加減は6段階から選ぶことができます。
ステーキの焼き具合は、こんな感じです。
丁寧に焼き加減について教えてくれています。
- VR（ベリーレア）
片面または両面を数十秒程焼いた状態。
- R（レア）
面のみを焼いた状態。
- MR（ミディアムレア）
レアとミディアムの間で一番ポピュラーな焼き方。
- M（ミディアム）
切るとほぼ全体に火が通っているが、肉汁は生に近い状態。
- MW（ミディアムウェル）
ミディアムとウェルダンの間で肉汁が少ない状態。
- W（ウェルダン）
完全に中まで焼いた状態。
サウザンステーキ登場！
サラダとスープを頂きながら更に待つこと数分。
200gのサウザンステーキの登場です。
鉄板の上で焼かれたステーキがいい感じに肉の香りとシズル感が出ています。
ご飯も流石に大盛りというだけあって迫力のある盛り付けです。
食べきれるか不安な大盛り具合です。
早速ステーキをカットしいただきます。
焼き加減ミディアムいい感じです。
ソースはオリジナルソースの他に沖縄県民に愛されているA1ソースが置かれています。
肉の味はというと、1000円という金額を考えると大変満足のいくものであります。
サウザンステーキはオーストラリア産の牛肉だそうですが、上手く仕込みがされており
柔らかさを感じながら食べることができます。
コショウをかけるとまた美味しさが際立ちます。
その日の気分に合わせてソースを変えてみるのもよいかもしれません。
ご飯大盛りもあっという間に完食です。
24時間営業という、沖縄のステーキでも類稀な営業形態は貴重でありがたいものです。
中々、夜中にステーキを食べる機会は少ないと思いますが、たまにはアリです。
深夜だけでなくランチタイム、夕飯時に訪れるのも良いと思いますので、
